Have you had your WOD with God today?

In CrossFit W.O.D. stands for Workout of the Day. One of the reasons that I love CrossFit is because the workout is some new craziness everyday, that pushes and challenges the athlete to become stronger and better. I would never come up with some of the exercises or combinations and especially the number of reps on my own. (I will share some of our WODs another day.) Our coach does an awesome job of keeping each WOD new and exciting.

Have you had your W.O.D. with God today? In other words, have you had a personal time of study and prayer with Him today? In our family we have family devotions after the evening meal. We read The Daily Bread and the Scripture for that day. Then we read a story from a Keys for Kids book, that we receive in the mail, with our son before he goes to bed. Also, my husband and I each have our own personal devotions each day. I am reading a book on the Apostle John by Beth Moore. We look forward to each time of devotion in God's Word and times of prayer together and alone.

"O, God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee..." Psalm 63:1

"How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."  Psalm 119:103-105
